How a crew handles it
- Send a photo of each applianceNote the type and roughly where it's sitting. A fridge or AC unit with refrigerant still in the lines is priced differently than one already evacuated, so mention that if you know it.
- A crew bids the jobThe crew factors certified refrigerant recovery where it applies, disposal or recycling fees, and how far the unit has to travel from where it sits (a curb pickup versus a basement or a tight hallway).
- The crew removes and disconnects itIf a unit is still plumbed or wired in, the crew disconnects it as part of the job. Appliances go to a recycler or scrap partner rather than a landfill, at the crew's discretion.
